Lombard, IL April 7, 2025 – Power Wellness, a trusted leader in managing and consulting on fitness and wellness facilities, is pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Drasdis as the new Center Director at the New London Community Recreation Center. Steve brings eighteen years of extensive experience in fitness and recreation leadership to his new role. His proven track record and passion for community wellness will be invaluable as he leads the New London Community Recreation Center.
Steve holds a Master of Arts Degree in Sports Management from Wingate University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from the University of South Florida. He is also a certified SPIN® instructor through SPINNING® – Mad Dogg Athletics, demonstrating his commitment to fitness excellence.

The New London Community Recreation Center is a new 57,000 square-foot facility located at Fort Trumbull, designed to provide a wide range of fitness, wellness, youth programming, and recreational services for residents of New London. The recreation center will include a fitness center, gymnasium, pool, and multipurpose rooms for activities, events, and community programs. The recreation center’s mission is to improve the health and quality of life for New London residents by offering accessible and affordable fitness opportunities for all ages.
Steve expressed his enthusiasm for his new position, stating, “I am excited to join Power Wellness and the New London Community Recreation Center. I look forward to working with the team and the community to enhance wellness and recreation opportunities for all residents.”
Steve Drasdis officially began his role as Center Director in March 2025. We are confident his leadership will positively impact the New London community and the Recreation Center.
