The transition took place during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, adding a layer of complexity. Power Wellness leadership and Center Director Marci Fairbanks partnered to guide The CENTRE through this unique experience, much of which had to be completed virtually. “Power Wellness treated me as a valued member of the team from the very beginning,” said Marci, “everyone had to learn new ways to manage, to operate… it was a steep learning curve, but overall people were patient and helpful.” During the 90-day transition Power Wellness’s home office professionals assumed all CENTRE back-office operations (business systems, accounting, HR (Human Resources), etc.). All CENTRE employees were retained, and all received training and support. Strategic, targeted consumer marketing helped rebuild membership as public health restrictions were lifted.

Based on Power Wellness’ direction, the City of Rolla made capital investments in The CENTRE, starting with a new fitness floor and updated equipment. The CENTRE is also offering expanded fitness programming and has started down the path towards full medical integration. Power Wellness’ white-label approach meant that these changes were all made under The CENTRE’s brand,
allowing The CENTRE’s people and brand to reap the benefits.
